Luke 10:41-42

          And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:

But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

       இயேசு அவளுக்குப் பிரதியுத்தமாக: மார்த்தாளே, மார்த்தாளே, நீ அநேக காரியங்களைக் குறித்துக் கவலைப்பட்டுக் கலங்குகிறாய். 

தேவையானது ஒன்றே, மரியாள் தன்னை விட்டெடுபடாத நல்ல பங்கைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டாள் என்றார்.
